The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) has released the toll free and helpline numbers for the Char Dham Yatra commencing from May 3 in the state.

UTDB’s Char Dham Yatra control room will answer all queries that will be received on the toll free number 1364 and other helpline numbers. All information linked to registration of pilgrims, weather prediction and other relevant information regarding Char Dham will be provided through these numbers.

UTDB’s deputy director Yogendra Kumar Gangwar informed that a pilgrim toll free and helpline numbers facility is being provided to the pilgrims that will provide information linked to Char Dham Yatra. “The toll free number 1364 and helpline numbers 0135-1364, 0135-2559898, 0135-2552627 and 0135-3520100 are being released to assist the pilgrims,” he said. Gangwar further informed that besides bookings in hotels, information linked to helicopter services and Char Dham routes will also be provided to the arriving pilgrims through these helpline numbers.

The Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand is beginning on May 3 with the opening of Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines on the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya.  Further, the opening of portals of Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines will take place on May 6 and May 8 respectively while Hemkund will open on May 22. It is pertinent to mention here that since this pilgrimage is being held properly after a gap of two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the State authorities are expecting that a large number of people will visit Uttarakhand for the Char Dham Yatra.
