The police raided a spa centre in Bhagwanpur area late on Saturday evening and busted an alleged sex racket being run from the establishment. While three persons were arrested, the owner of the spa centre managed to escape from the spot. The police “rescued” two women from the spot and handed them over to their families. The police are now searching for the spa centre owner.
The spa center in question was being operated in a shop adjoining the district Panchayat market near Bhagwanpur police station. Police received information about prostitution being facilitated at the spa center. Acting on this information Bhagwanpur police station in-charge inspector Amarjit Singh raided the spa center along with the police team. Three persons were arrested and two women were “rescued” by the police during the raid.
The owner of the spa center, Bittu Gurjar, a resident of Bhagwanpur, fled from the spot. The police brought the persons nabbed to the police station where they were interrogated. Bhagwanpur police station in-charge inspector Amarjeet Singh said that a case has been registered in the matter. Both the women have been handed over to their families.
