STF nabs quadruple murder accused from Himachal Pradesh

The Uttarakhand Special Task Force arrested a 30-year-old man from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh for his alleged involvement in four murders in Haridwar. The accused named Yaad Hussain had allegedly murdered four people in Kheri Khurd area of the district along with his accomplices on May 6, 2021.

The police registered a case against him under Sections 302,147,148,149, 307,504,506 of Indian Penal Code in Kotwali Laksar. He was absconding for nearly two years and Haridwar SSP had also announced a bounty of Rs 25,000 on his head, said the senior superintendent of police, STF, Ayush Agrawal. He said that the accused was living in different places in the past two years to evade his arrest.

STF on Wednesday received information that quadruple murder accused Yaad Hussain, a local of Kheri Khurd area of Laksar, Haridwar has been recently hiding in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. The STF took quick action and arrested him from there and admitted him to Laksar police station late on Wednesday night. He was subsequently sent to jail the same night, added the SSP. He said that this is the 32nd absconding criminal arrested by STF this year as per the directions of director general of police Ashok Kumar.
