State foundation day celebrated in summer capital Gairsain

  The State foundation day was celebrated in the summer capital of Uttarakhand Gairsain on Wednesday. The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the assembly speaker Ritu Khanduri participated in the programmes organised at the assembly building of Bharadisain on the occasion. The CM inaugurated 28 schemes of Rs 11736 lakh and laid the foundation stones of 22 projects of Rs 4948 lakh on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a special affinity towards the State and the central government is providing full cooperation to the State due to which the State is making big strides on the path of development. The CM said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Mana village on October 21 had made an appeal to the pilgrims that they should spend five per cent of their travel budget for buying local products during their visit. He said that crores of people visit the state for religious purposes and for tourism and the products purchased by them would strengthen the economy of the State. The government has released a calendar of recruitment and the process of recruitment on seven thousand posts is currently in progress and soon the process to fill 19,000 posts in government departments would start, the CM said.

 In her address the speaker Ritu Khanduri said that Uttarakhand is moving on the path of development. She said that everyone can contribute to the development of the State by working with honesty and dedication. Khanduri made an announcement to provide a sum of Rs 5000 each to the women self help groups from her discretionary fund.
