State BJP parliamentary board to discuss names of LS candidates on Feb 26

 The State parliamentary board of BJP will send the panel of names of the party candidates for the five Lok Sabha seats of the State to the central leadership on February 26. The president of Uttarakhand unit of BJP Mahendra Bhatt has said that the party has appointed observers in all the Lok Sabha constituencies who are holding discussions at various levels and preparing the list of probable candidates. The State parliamentary board of the party will meet on February 26 and hold discussion on the names and forward them to the central leadership of the party.

Bhatt said that in the face of imminent defeat the senior leaders of the Congress party are showing reluctance to contest the Lok Sabha elections in the State. He exuded confidence that the BJP candidates will win all the five Lok Sabha seats with a victory margin of more than five lakh votes. Taking a dig at the Congress party, the State president of BJP said that in such a situation the senior leaders of the Congress party have taken a wise decision of not entering into an electoral contest in the Lok Sabha polls.
