The National President of NAPSR (National Association for Parents and Student Rights), Arif Khan has set an example by donating blood on the occasion Eid-ul-Adha on Thursday.
Khan and his brother Jahid Siddiqui decided to donate blood on the pious day which involves the ritual of animal sacrifice. The duo donated blood at Max Hospital in Dehradun and it was given to a woman in need of a bypass heart surgery who required six units of blood. Khan said that he has donated blood for the fifth time on the occasion of Eid-ul- Adha.
Khan shared that their belief is that God sees the intention behind the sacrifice, not the price paid. Instead of letting the blood of the animal through the drains, one should donate blood to give someone life. We should organize such blood donation and plantation drives at every festival so that our coming generation does not suffer from the shortage of blood and oxygen, he added.
