Sardar Patel played a key role in unifying India- CM Dhami

Participates in run for unity rally on the occasion of the National Unity Day in Champawat

The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a ‘run for unity’ rally organized on the occasion of the National Unity Day, the birth anniversary of the first home minister of India Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel in Banbasa in Champawat on Monday. Offering floral tributes to Patel at the NHPC guest house, the CM said that he played a key role in the unification of the country. It was due to the efforts of Patel that more than 562 princely states merged into India. He said that on one hand, an Iron Man like Sardar Patel has taken birth in our country, and on another, a person like Adi Shankaracharya is born here who unified the nation from north to south and from east to west. The CM said that today our country is moving forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has taken a commitment to the ‘ Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat’ mission. He said the country is making rapid strides on the path of development under PM Modi and the respect of the country in the world is increasing. Dhami said that when the whole world was struggling with the pandemic of Covid-19, our country under the leadership of PM Modi developed two vaccines that saved the lives of the people. Dhami said that our country would celebrate the centenary year of our freedom after 25 years and these years are going to be very important for the country. The role of youth is going to be important during this period which is the Amrit Kal for us. He said that in Uttarakhand we have made a commitment that we will make the State free from TB in the next two years and free from drugs by the year 2025. “ We should take a pledge to free us from the drugs and make others aware about it. For a good society it is essential that everyone is healthy,’’ he said. The CM exhorted the people to give their contribute to making India, the  World leader (Vishwa Guru). He said that the right direction needs to be given to our younger generation.

 The state president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Shashank Rawat, BJP district president Deep Pathak, president of Nagar Panchayat Vanbasa Renu Agarwal, Superintendent of Police (SP) Devendra Peencha, and others were present on the occasion.
