In latest news from Uttarakhand, the RSS chief Mohan Bhagawat said while addressing a gathering after inaugurating the ‘Bharat Mitra Pillar’ built in the memory of the late social worker Mitrasen Arya that Sanatan Dharma and India are synonymous and the fulcrum of the country’s culture is based on it. He further said that the Indian culture is eternal, timeless because it is based on the eternal dharma or Sanatan Dharma. Harming it amounts to inflicting harms on oneself, he said.
Dwelling on the contribution of Mitrasen Arya, the RSS chief said that he embodied the values of eternal India and the pillar built in his memory connotes the cultural heritage of the country.
The yoga guru Baba Ramdev and the spiritual head of Rishikesh-based Parmrth Niketan Swami Chidanand Saraswati were also present aside from several other dignitaries.
