The state health department reported 17 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 16 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Monday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,584 while a total of 3,29,936 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7395 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96.03 while the sample positivity rate on Monday was 0.14 per cent.
The state health department reported five new patients of Covid -19 from Dehradun and Rudraprayag, three from Almora and one each from Haridwar, Nainital, Pauri and Uttarkashi districts on Monday. No new cases were reported from the remaining districts on the day.
The state now has 150 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 86 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Chamoli has 11 active cases. Champawat has no active case of the disease now. In the ongoing vaccination drive 34,535 people were vaccinated in 932 sessions in the state held on Monday.
