Raise awareness on Centre’s achievements & schemes: Patel

The former deputy chief minister of Gujarat Nitin Patel exhorted the party workers to ensure that all people in the rural areas are aware of the government’s policies. He said this after arriving in Tehri district on Sunday as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Maha Sampark Abhiyan being undertaken to mark nine years of the Central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Addressing the media at Bauradi, Patel said that the Central government under PM Modi had done numerous important tasks during its nine years in office so far. The Centre set an example for the global community with its management during the Covid-19 pandemic. The government is also providing free rations to about 80 crore citizens. Patel said that Modi has a special connection with Uttarakhand while adding that the borders of the nation are secure.

The Tehri MP Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah also cited various achievements of the government during its nine years in office so far. The Nelong valley in Uttarkashi has been brought out of the inner line system while a detailed project report for the Gangotri-Yamunotri rail project is also ready. Majority of the work under the Char Dham all weather road project has been executed in Tehri and Uttarkashi districts while work is progressing at a swift pace on the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project. About 1.5 lakh people in Pratapnagar and Uttarkashi are benefitting from the construction of the Dobra-Chanthi bridge while the network of roads has been expanded under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. She also exhorted the party workers to raise awareness about the achievements and public welfare schemes of the government.
