ONGC CMD inaugurates CSR works in DAV College

The chairperson and managing director (CMD) of ONGC, Alka Mittal inaugurated projects worth Rs.1.25 crore completed in DAV college under corporate social responsibility on the weekend. The works include construction of 60 kW solar panels, 26 toilets and a multi-purpose badminton hall. DAV college principal Ajay Saxena, ONGC’s head of Corporate Administration Vijay Raj along with other officials and college faculty members were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Mittal said that Uttarakhand’s largest college for higher education is connected to many golden memories because in this college such students have been educated who have brought laurels to the college not only in the state but also in the country and abroad. She said that under its social responsibility, ONGC is playing a leading role in contributing through CSR projects in the field of education, health, skill development, rural development and women empowerment in Uttarakhand as well as across the country.

The college principal Ajay Saxena said that the college has always been honouring its alumni and takes great pride in their stellar achievements. Mittal was given the Chaatra Shiromani Samman by her then principal IP Saxena and the current principal on the occasion.
