The police have arrested two young men for allegedly duping customers and the Ekart Company that delivers goods of the e-commerce company Flipkart in Dehradun. The police informed that the manager of the company Rakesh Maithani filed a complaint in the Nehru Colony police station on January 2 stating that he hired two young men- 19-year-old Vikas Sharma and 21-year-old Siddharth Vaidya, on December 28 as delivery boys. They both took the goods worth about Rs 1.5 lakh including two mobile phones for delivery on December 31 but they sold them elsewhere rather than delivering them to the customers. According to the complainant, they also escape with the money collected as cash on delivery from the customers, informed the police. After filing the complaint, the police started investigating the matter and nabbed the two culprits from Mothrowala bridge along with stolen goods and money.

According to the police, the culprits have confessed that they had sold some goods for about Rs 50,000 and spent it on the New Year’s celebration.  They said that when they realised the company will ask them about the goods and the payments, they decided to flee to Haridwar to sell the remaining things after which, they have planned to go to Delhi to start a new life, informed the police.
