The active case count in the state has now decreased to 1,528

The state health department reported the death of one patient from Covid 19 and detected only 144 new cases of the disease in Uttarakhand on Sunday.
The department has so far detected 90,133 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 85,412 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 253 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 94.76 per cent on Sunday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 1.48 per cent on the day.
The authorities reported the death of one patient at the Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun on Sunday.
The health department reported 60 new patients from Dehradun, 22 from Haridwar, 16 from Chamoli and 10 from Pauri on Sunday. In the remaining nine districts less than ten patients were reported on the day.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 1,617. Dehradun with 331 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 237 and Champawat 231 active cases of the disease. Bageshwar is at the bottom of the table with 10 active cases. In the ongoing vaccination drive 4,655 people were vaccinated in 534 sessions in the state held on Sunday.
