The Teerth Purohits of the Char Dham shrines met the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for the second time with their demand of dissolving the Char Dham Devasthanam Management Board. They submitted relevant documents to him and demanded that the earlier system be restored. According to the Devbhumi Teerth Purohit Hakhukookdhari Mahapanchayat spokesman Brijesh Sati, the chief minister assured them their rights will be not affected. Dhami said that he will meet the Teerth Purohits of the Char Dham soon during his tour of districts in Garhwal.

It will be recalled that the Teerth Purohits had earlier met Dhami on July 8 demanding the dissolution of the Devasthanam Board. The chief minister had then asked them to provide relevant documents. Gangotri temple committee former head Sanjiv Semwal, Yamunotri Teerth Purohit Mahasabha head Purushottam Uniyal, Gangotri Nagar Panchayat chairman Suresh Semwal and others were part of the delegation which met Dhami on Wednesday.
