National Lok Adalat held across State

National Lok Adalat was held in all the 13 districts of the State on Saturday on the directions of the National Legal Service Authority, New Delhi and Uttarakhand High Court justice Manoj Kumar Tiwari.

The Lok Adalat was held in all district courts, family courts, State and district consumer disputes redressal commissions. A total of 143 division benches were formed to address the cases in the National Lok Adalat.

Uttarakhand State Legal Service Authority, Nainital, member secretary Pradeep Mani Tripathi informed that two division benches were formed for the National Lok Adalat held at the Uttarakhand High Court.

The division bench of justice Ashish Naithani and that of justice Alok Mahra disposed of a total of 15 cases. Similarly, 82 cases were disposed of in the Almora district court, 70 cases in Bageshwar, 73 in Chamoli, 144 in Champawat, 12,676 in Dehradun, 6,604 in Haridwar, 1,942 in Nainital district, 805 in Pauri, 298 in Pithoragarh, 59 in Rudraprayag, 350 in Tehri, 4,717 in Udham Singh Nagar and 90 in Uttarkashi district.
