The unprecedented rush of pilgrims for the Char Dham Yatra and for the upcoming Hemkund Sahib Yatra is continuing. A total of 31,18,926 pilgrims have so far registered for the Yatra. The slots for the month of June are also full for the online registrations and to manage the huge surge of pilgrims, the State administration has stopped the off- line registration system till May 31.
The data of the tourism department shows that 10,37,700 pilgrims have registered for Kedarnath, 9,55,858 for Badrinath, 5,54,656 for Gangotri and 4,86,285 for Yamunotri. For Hemkund Sahib Yatra a total of 84,427 registrations have so far been done.
On Wednesday, 17,016 registrations were done for Badrinath shrine, 16,065 for Kedarnath, 9,347 for Gangotri and 7,624 for Yamunotri shrine. For Hemkund Sahib 4,817 registrations were done on Wednesday.
