Miscreants loot cash & jewellery at gunpoint in Jhabreda

Unidentified criminals committed an armed robbery in the home of a contractor in Jhabreda police station area late on Monday night. The criminals robbed Rs 5.70 lakh and jewellery from the home. The police reached the site on being informed and combed the area throughout the night but could not find the culprits. The police have registered a case and started investigation in the armed robbery.

According to information received, Anuj Ashtwal, a resident of Fakkarhedi village of Jhabreda police station area recently built a home outside the village. On Monday night around 11:30 PM, three men entered his house by climbing the wall and threatened him with a pistol.  After this, the miscreants opened the cupboard to steal Rs 5.70 lakh cash and jewellery before fleeing.

Jhabreda police station officer Sanjeev Thapliyal said that a case has been registered in the matter and the miscreants will be caught soon.
