The Municipal Corporation of Haridwar (MCH) along with the Haridwar district administration and the police conducted inspections of food establishments near the railway station and bus stand on Sunday.
The food safety officer Kapil Dev and sanitation inspectors Srikant and Dhirendra Semwal inspected 12 shops in the railway station and the bus stand. They also took four samples of Pakodas, Chana Chat, milk and curd. Besides this, they also issued notices to three food establishments for violations.
Besides this, the MCH issued challans to eight establishments under the Anti-Littering Act and for the use of single use plastics and collected a challan of worth Rs 7,500, the officials added.
