Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission to promote spiritual tourism: CM

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission will promote spiritual tourism in the State.

He was addressing Shri Peetham Sthapana Mahotsav organised by the Shri Kalyanika Himalaya Devasthanam Trust at Dol Ashram in Lamgada, Almora on Monday. 

Expressing grief over the Pahalgam attack, the CM Minister said that India is working on the policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism. Our security forces have given a befitting reply to this attack, he said.

 The CM said that he always feels divine energy whenever he visits Dol Ashram. He said that the Ashram is progressing and developing as a big centre of religion, spirituality, culture and education.

He said that the State government is connecting all the temples of the region with infrastructure facilities under the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission, so that spiritual tourism can be promoted.  Dhami said that Dol Ashram is promoting religious tourism as well as educating the youth about Indian culture.  He said that the ashram is a living example of our ancient civilization and culture. It is a grand and divine centre of meditation and spirituality. He said that the State government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is moving ahead with the goal of making Uttarakhand a developed State.

He added that under the leadership of PM Modi the flag of Sanatan culture is flying high in the world. The CM reiterated the commitment of his government for preservation of culture in the State and said that a strict law on religious conversion has been enacted. He said that action on the conspiracies of land jihad and love jihad has been taken and the criminals have been sent behind bars. 

 Dhami added that Uttarakhand has achieved the distinction of becoming the first state in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code. The strict anti-cheating law has provided a fair opportunity to the youth of the state and candidates from every district are now making a place in the selection list of the competitive examinations. 

Speaking on the occasion, Maharaj Kalyandas said that everyone should work for the motherland. He exhorted the people to give up bad habits and adopt spirituality, for happiness and prosperity. Emphasizing on adopting Sanskrit language, he said that as long as Sanskrit is alive in our hearts, there can be no threat to Indianness.

 The union minister of state Ajay Tamta, MLAs Mohan Singh Mehra and Manoj Tiwari, former Vidhan Sabha speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal, BJP district president Mahesh Nayal, district magistrate Alok Kumar Pandey, senior superintendent of police Devendra Pincha and others attended the programme.
