Could announce his fourth guarantee associated with the development of women of the state.

After farmers, unemployed youths, senior citizens and autorickshaw and taxi drivers, the Delhi chief minister and national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal is all set to woo potential women voters of Uttarakhand in his one day-visit to Kashipur on December 14 ahead of the 2022 assembly elections. On his fifth visit to the state, Kejriwal is scheduled to participate in a direct dialogue programme with women in Kashipur.

The party workers in Dehradun also hinted that he will also announce his fourth guarantee which would be associated with the development of women of the state.  The media co-in charge of the party, Uma Sisodia said in a Press conference on Monday that the condition of women has been consistently deteriorating here in the past 21 years under the successive governments of Congress and BJP. “These parties failed to do any work to improve the lives of women here, especially those who live in mountainous areas and remote locations. Due to lack of proper facilities, many pregnant women die while giving birth to children.  Many struggle to run their household with consistently growing inflation.

The condition of women has gone from bad to worse in the last 21 years,” stated Sisodia. She said, “AAP’s government gives free electricity and water in Delhi which makes it easy for women there to run the household whereas the women here have never been given such benefits despite the fact that they comprise about 50 per cent population of the state.” She said that the AAP’s government will change this scenario in Uttarakhand after winning the elections next year. She also hinted that Kejriwal would make a major announcement associated with women on his one-day visit today. Talking about the CM’s schedule today, the party’s spokesman Naveen Pirshali informed that Kejriwal will participate in a direct dialogue programme with women at 1 pm in Kashipur after which, he will address a public meeting in Ramleela Maidan around 3 pm. He will return to Delhi at 6 pm the same day, added Pirshali.
