Thanking the people of Uttarakhand for the electoral verdict, the Bharatiya Janata Party has stressed that all promises made by the party will be fulfilled by the new government. Addressing the media after the party’s victory at the BJP State office on Thursday, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami thanked the people of Uttarakhand and the party’s leadership for re-electing the party. “The BJP government achieved major works including the Covid vaccination even in remote areas of the state and provision of ration to about 60 lakh families along with major infrastructural works in the state. I am thankful to my party leaders for giving me the opportunity to serve the state and its people so far.” Referring to the trend of a party not being re-elected in Uttarakhand so far for a second consecutive term, Dhami said that such trends are being broken since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister. He stressed that promises made by him and the party including work on Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand will be undertaken by the new government in the state.

Speaking on the occasion, the party’s state election in-charge and Union minister Pralhad Joshi said that the people of Uttarakhand had accepted chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s face and voted for the party in the elections. He said, “Many including the media had predicted a close fight between the Congress and the BJP but the people have once again elected the BJP with a resounding majority.History has been made under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, CM Dhami and our national president JP Nadda. All the promises made by the party and CM Dhami during the past six months will be fulfilled by the party’s government. As stated earlier by the PM, this will be Uttarakhand’s decade,” said Joshi.
