WECD conducts contest to promote Uttarakhand’s traditional attire

The Women Empowerment and Child Development (WECD) department conducted a state-wide contest on International Women’s Day to promote and preserve traditional attires and accessories of Uttarakhand. The State minister for WECD,  Rekha Arya who was the chief guest of the event also wore the traditional attire of Kumaon besides 79 women who participated in the contest from various parts of the State.
