Four of a family found murdered in Nanakmatta

F0ur persons reportly belonging to the same family were found murdered in the Nanakmatta area of Udham Singh Nagar district on Wednesday. The bodies of two women were discovered in ward number six while the bodies of two males were discovered in nearby Chhida Nivadiya in the afternoon. The four were killed by unknown person/s with a sharp weapon. On being informed, the police first recovered the bloodied bodies of the two men from the riverside after which the bodies of the two women were recovered from the nearby locality.

According to sources, Ankit Rastogi was living with his mother Asha Rastogi and grandmother Sanno Devi in ward number six. His cousin Udit had arrive here on Tuesday. On Wednesday, some people were sauntering on the riverside in Chhida Navdiya when they came across two bodies with several wounds apparently inflicted by a sharp weapon. The bodies were identified as those of Ankit and Udit. When the police reached Ankit’s residence they discovered the bodies of two women also assaulted with a sharp weapon. The bodies were identified as those of Ankit’s mother and grandmother. After taking the bodies into possession, the police also started questioning the brother and father of Ankit. The police are investigating all angles but suspect old rivalry to be the reason behind the murders.
