Hotter days forecast in mountains & plains

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to remain four to six degrees Celsius above normal during the next one week in the mountainous regions of Uttarakhand and slightly decrease thereafter. Further, the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to remain four to six degrees Celsius above normal after three to four days in the plains of the state. The State meteorological centre has forecast that dry weather is likely to prevail in the districts today. The provisional state capital Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear sky with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 32 degrees Celsius and 16 degrees Celsius respectively on Tuesday. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the state on Monday were 31.9 degrees Celsius and 16.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 31.7 degrees Celsius and 14.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 22.3 degrees Celsius and 11.6 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 23 degrees Celsius and 12 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
