The state health department reported only 24 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 37 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Thursday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,42,526 while a total of 3,28,695 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state 7369 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 95.96 while the sample positivity rate on Wednesday was 0.12 per cent.
The state health department reported four new patients of Covid -19 each from Pauri, three each from Bageshwar, Dehradun, Pithoragarh and Uttarkashi, two each from Champawat, Nainital and Rudraprayag and one each from Chamoli and Haridwar on Thursday. No new patient was found in Tehri and Almora districts on the day.
The state now has 418 active cases of Covid 19. Dehradun with 161 cases is at top of the table of active cases while Pithoragarh is at second spot with 57 active cases. Chamoli has 51, Champawat 23, Uttarkashi 22, Bageshwar 19, Haridwar and Pauri 12 each, Nainital seven, Almora six and Tehri five active patients each of the disease.
The state reported one new case of Mucormycosis (Black fungus) on Thursday. A total of 571 patients of the disease have so far been reported. In the ongoing vaccination drive 1,19,194 people were vaccinated in 821 sessions in different parts of the state on Thursday.
