CS Radha Raturi receives service extension of 6 months

 The Union government has granted an extension of six months to the chief secretary of Uttarakhand, Radha Raturi.  She was slated to retire on March 31. The extension granted to Raturi has been given by the Department of Personnel, Government of India on the request of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. In a letter to the secretary of General Administration, Uttarakhand government, the Department of Personnel, Government of India has extended the service of Raturi from April 1 to September 30, 2024.

An IAS officer of the 1988 batch, Raturi took over as the first woman chief secretary of Uttarakhand on January 31. She took over the charge from SS Sandhu who superannuated on January 31. In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections the extension in service of Raturi was expected. It is pertinent to mention here that Raturi is known for her non-controversial service in various positions in the State so far. She is also considered to be an upright public servant.
