Heat wave alert issued again for parts of State

Though some parts of the State may experience minor relief from the heat with light rains forecast on or after June 10, hot weather is forecast to continue in various parts of the State for now. The State meteorological centre has issued an alert while forecasting the possibility of heat wave conditions at a few places in the mountains and at isolated places in the plains on Wednesday. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the districts today along with strong gusty surface wind likely to occur during the daytime at a few places.  The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear skies with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 41 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius respectively on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Tuesday were 40.2 degrees Celsius and 25.7 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 39.6 degrees Celsius and 25.1 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 30.2 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 29.2 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
