The Uttarakhand high court has directed the principal chief conservator of forests (PCCF) Vinod Kumar Singhal from taking any policy decisions for now. The court issued this direction while hearing on the petition filed by Rajiv Bhartari who had approached the HC challenging his removal from the post of PCCF. The division bench of acting chief justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra and justice RC Khulbe also directed the state government to continue the departmental promotion committee (DPC) if it is underway, adding that the result should not be announced till March 28.
The division bench also asked verbally as to why no action was taken against the Corbett national park director if Bhartari was removed from the post of PCCF for illegal activities in Corbett.
