In latest news from Doon, amidst the churning in the Congress over candidate selection for the five Lok Sabha seats , the senior leader Harish Rawat broke his studied silence and said he would be happy if the leader of the opposition in the State assembly Yashpal Arya is nominated to contest the Almora LS seat. Notably, the battle-hardened veteran had already opted out of the electoral race. He further said that in case Arya does not contest, Pradip Tamta is the natural choice for the seat.
