Health Fairs to be held in all blocks to mark four years of Ayushman Bharat

In view of the fourth anniversary of the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, the State’s Health department  would organise health fairs in all 95 development blocks of the state. The Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat has asked the district magistrates (DMs) and chief medical officers (CMOs) to take responsibility for successful organisation of these fairs.

Rawat reviewed the preparation of the department for the Health Fairs in a meeting organised at state secretariat on Wednesday. The minister said that these fairs would be held from April 18 to 23 in all the blocks of the state. He directed the officers to ensure participation of MPs, local MLAs, district Panchayat presidents and block Pramukhs in these fairs. Rawat also directed them to take support of all linear departments including Panchayati Raj, Education, Information and Culture in successful conduct of health fairs. The mission director of National Health Mission (NHM) Sonika made a presentation on holding health fairs. The meeting was attended by chief secretary S S Sandhu, Health secretary Pankaj Pandey, secretary in-charge of higher education Deependra Chaudhary, director general  of Education Banshidhar Tiwari, Health director general Dr Tripti Bahuguna and others. The DMs and the CMOs attended the meeting virtually.
