Govt apathetic towards statehood activists: Joshi

Activists renovating memorial of Bhadri from own resources

The central spokesperson of the Chinhit Rajya Andolankari Sanyukt Samiti, Mahesh Joshi has said that the state government has adopted apathetic attitude towards the statehood activists. He said that the dilapidated condition of the statue of statehood movement martyr Girish Bhadri on Mothorowala road is an example of this apathy. Joshi said that the memorial was set up during the Congress party’s regime and the circle was named after the martyr.

Joshi said that the statehood activists led by Lalit Bhadri and others have now taken the responsibly of repair and maintenance of the memorial. Joshi said that the state government should ensure maintenance and upkeep of the memorials of the martyrs.
