Gadkari to inaugurate tunnel construction in Mussoorie

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari would arrive in Mussoorie in October to inaugurate the construction work of the tunnel at the invitation of Uttarakhand cabinet minister, Ganesh Joshi during his visit to New Delhi on Monday. As the minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Joshi presented issues regarding the MSME sector in the State during his visit. He also asked him to provide support in the restoration of training centres and production units of Khadi and Village Industries Board which are already established across Uttarakhand but are inactive.

On this, the union minister asked Joshi to send proposals to the Central Government and said that he would surely approve them as there is lots of potential in Khadi and village industries in the State. Also, Joshi said that he expressed his gratitude to Gadkari for the approval of the construction of 2.74 kilometres long tunnel with a budget of Rs 700 crores. He said that he invited him to inaugurate the construction work of the tunnel which Gadkari accepted and assured to arrive in Mussoorie in October for the inauguration. Besides this, Joshi also asked Gadkari for assistance in the construction of the road in Kimadi area of Mussoorie to which Gadkari assured that the Centre would provide support for it through the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRF).
