In latest news from Uttarakhand, the Uttarkashi deputy superintendent of police Prashant Kumar conducted half- yearly inspection of the fire station Uttarkashi and examined the fire fighting vehicles and equipment kept at the station premises. He directed the fire personnel to respond promptly to any emergency and carry out rescue operations with caution and utmost efficiency. He also asked them to familiarise themselves with the latest fire- fighting techniques and methods. More, he instructed the newly recruited female/male fire personnel on how to respond to the fire emergency call and douse the fire in the minimum possible time along with rescuing people trapped in blazing houses and offices.
