In latest news from Doon, the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA) announced suspension of helicopter services for the Char Dham Yatra due to operational concerns amid the heightened security in view of the deepening India-Pakistan conflict.
In a statement issued, UCADA clarified that no commercial or Yatra-related chopper flights would be permitted to operate across the pilgrimage circuit encompassing Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri until further notice. It, however, stated that helicopter services solely for evacuation purposes with priority given to stranded pilgrims requiring urgent assistance would remain operational.
Further, hotel and helicopter booking related to the pilgrimage has been cancelled.
