As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Food Corporation of India (FCI) Dehradun regional office organised a public awareness event at its Heerahedi storage depot in Jhabreda block of Haridwar district. The people were informed about the benefits of various schemes of the corporation.
The Jhabreda municipality chairman Manavendra Singh inaugurated the event. He said that the Central government is conducting various schemes for foodgrain distribution, food processing and distribution of nutririous food. The people are deriving the benefit of these schemes through the FCI, he said while also appreciating the role of the farmers and the corporation. FCI Dehradun regional manager Sachin Dev informed the gathering in detail about the various schemes of the corporation.
