Donning farmer’s hat, CM Dhami participates in paddy sowing

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami showed his adroitness in handling the bullocks on Saturday morning when he handled them perfectly while preparing his field for sowing of paddy in Nagra Terai, Khatima in Udham Singh Nagar district.

Dhami who on Friday completed four years of his being the chief minister of the State showed that apart from being an expert politician and administrator he is equally good in handling a pair of bullocks and other farming practices. 

On the occasion, the CM offered traditional prayers to Bhumiya Devta (the deity of land), Lord Indra (rain god) and Meghraj (God of clouds) amid the melodious tones and beats of traditional instruments. Dhami’s gesture drew enthusiasm and praise from the villagers.

 He said that hitting the farms has revived old days and memories. The CM said that farmers are not only the backbone of our economy but they are also the flag bearers of our culture and tradition.
