Dhami to attend CMs’ conclave in Varanasi

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will participate in the chief ministers’ conclave to be held in Varanasi in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh on December 14. In the conclave, Dhami will talk about issues related to execution of various central and state governments’ public welfare schemes in the state. On Sunday evening, the chief minister held a meeting to review aspects of various schemes including beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes, procedure adopted for execution of the schemes and efforts being undertaken to address the challenges being faced in the same. The departmental secretaries made presentations to inform the chief minister about these aspects.

Dhami said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had termed the home stay scheme executed by the state government as one which will boost the state’s tourism and culture. The chief minister stressed on the need for special efforts in this direction. He said that information about the home stay scheme of the state government will also be shared in the chief ministers’ conclave. This scheme and the establishment of trekking traction centres will help enhance tourism, adventure tourism and the economy of the state while also helping in tackling migration, added Dhami.

Additional chief secretary Anand Bardhan, secretaries, Shailesh Bagauli, Ravinath Raman, SA Murugesan, Chandresh Kumar and other officials concerned were also present in the meeting.
