The minimum temperature dropped by a notch in Dehradun on Friday and is set to drop further today. However, the maximum temperature has remained above normal and prevented the winter chill from being felt during the daytime.
Meanwhile, the State meteorological centre has forecast that dry weather is likely to prevail in the districts of the State on Saturday. Shallow to moderate fog is likely to occur in some parts of Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts during the morning hours. The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear sky with mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 25 degrees Celsius and eight degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Friday were 25.9 degrees Celsius and 8.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 24.8 degrees Celsius and 7.9 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 15.2 degrees Celsius and 3.6 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 17.5 degrees Celsius and five degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
