Defection game on in U’khand, public must avoid choosing such candidates- AAP

Stating that leaders like Harak Singh Rawat are responsible for the deteriorating conditions of the state in the past 21 years, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said that the public should not give them a chance anymore in the assembly elections this year. The chief ministerial candidate of the party, Ajay Kothiyal said that such leaders of Congress and BJP want power by hook or by crook while completely disregarding the welfare and sentiments of Uttarakhand and its citizens. This is the reason the game of switching parties starts before every election in the state, he said.

The party’s spokesman Navin Pirshali said in a Press conference, “Both parties continue to throw allegations and counter-allegations at each other but those are hardly related to the issues of public interest. Leaders of both parties want to retain their position in the government during every election claiming they did not get the chance to work during their tenure as a way to hide their failures.” Harak Singh Rawat is following this path just like he did before the last assembly elections. He should not be entertained by people of the state irrespective of his association with BJP or Congress this year, Pirshali said.  He added, “Those who used to curse him are presently giving him their utmost respect and those who used to praise him are cursing him. This is the level of both parties here.  We appeal to the people to eliminate such leaders from the election on February 14.”
