Covid-19 count mounts to 66,005 in U’khand

Five deaths, 328 cases reported on Tuesday

The number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand mounted to 66005 on Tuesday with the state health department reporting 328 fresh cases of the disease. The department also reported the death of five patients of Covid-19 on the day after which the death toll mounted to 1080 in the state.  The authorities discharged 505 patients from different hospitals of the state after their recovery on the day. a total of 60429 patients have so far recovered from the disease in the state. The recovery percentage from the disease is now at 91.55 percent.

Two patients of the disease were reported dead at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital on Tuesday. One patient each was reported dead at Synergy hospital Dehradun, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh and Military hospital Pithoragarh on the day.

Dehradun continues to reel under the disease as 130 patients of the disease were reported on Tuesday. Haridwar reported 29, Udham Singh Nagar 27, Pithoragarh 25, Nainital 23, Uttarkashi 18, Pauri 17, Champawat 12, Bageshwar 11, Almora nine, Chamoli seven and Rudraprayag one case of the disease on Tuesday.

Uttarakhand now has 3955 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 864 active cases is at top of table while with 503 active cases Pauri district is on second position. Haridwar has 477, Nainital 317, Chamoli 278, Udham Singh Nagar 262, Tehri 213, Rudraprayag 200, Pithoragarh 196, Uttarkashi 195, Almora 189 and Champawat 132 active cases of the disease. With 129 active cases of Covid-19, Bageshwar is now at the bottom of the table.
