Covid-19 cases mount to 92593 in U’khand

Five deaths, 277 new cases reported on Wednesday

The number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) cases in Uttarakhand increased to 92593 on Wednesday with the state health department reporting 227 new cases of the disease. The department also reported the death of five patients of the disease on the day after which the death toll mounted to 1549 in the state. The health department discharged 380 patients from different hospitals on Wednesday. A total of 86298 patients have recovered from the disease so far in the state. The recovery percentage from the disease is now at 93.20 and the sample positivity rate is 4.99 percent.

Two patients of Covid-19 were reported dead at the District Hospital Pithoragarh on Wednesday. One patient each of the disease was reported dead at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital, Mahant Indiresh hospital and Himalayan hospital Dehradun on Wednesday.

The health department reported 69 fresh cases of Covid-19 from Dehradun, 60 from Nainital, 40 from Haridwar, 13 from Udham Singh Nagar, 12 from Uttarkashi, nine from Champawat, seven from Almora, five from Chamoli, four from Rudraprayag, three each from Tehri and Pauri and two from Bageshwar on Wednesday. Uttarakhand now has 3515 active cases of the disease. Dehradun is at continuing to remain at top of the table of active cases with 1049 cases while with 810 active cases Nainital is at second spot. Haridwar is at third position with 322 cases, Tehri has 195, Uttarkashi 188, Pithoragarh 181, Bageshwar 145, Almora 140, Udham Singh Nagar 125, Pauri 116, Chamoli 108 and Champawat 71 active cases of the disease. With 65 active cases of Covid-19, Rudraprayag is at the bottom of the table of active cases of Covid-19.
