The state health department reported the death of three patients from Covid 19 in Uttarakhand on Thursday. It also detected 291 new cases of the disease in the state on the day. The active case count in the state has now reduced to 3,244 with the recovery of 1,085 cases on Thursday.
The department has so far detected 89,528 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 83,202 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 249 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 92.93 per cent on Thursday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 1.90 per cent on the day.
The authorities reported the death of one patient each at Himalayan hospital, Kailash hospital and district hospital Rudraprayag on Thursday.
The health department reported 98 new patients from Dehradun, 55 from Haridwar and 22 from Udham Singh Nagar district on Thursday.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 3,244. Dehradun with 1,250 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Pauri has 457 active cases of the disease. Bageshwar and Uttarkashi are at the bottom of the table with 22 active cases of the disease each. In the ongoing vaccination drive 24,338 people were vaccinated in 1157 sessions in the state held on Thursday.
