The state health department reported only 15 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 19 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Tuesday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,519 while a total of 3,29,813 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7393 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96.01 while the sample positivity rate on Tuesday was 0.10 per cent.
The state health department reported five new patients of Covid -19 from Chamoli, four from Dehradun, three from Haridwar, two from Nainital and one from Rudraprayag on Tuesday. No new cases were reported from remaining districts on the day.
The state now has 214 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 111 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Pauri has 23 active cases. Tehri and Bageshwar have only one active case of the disease now. In the ongoing vaccination drive 41,586 people were vaccinated in 832 sessions in the state held on Tuesday. As per the data of the state health department 73,42,595 people in the state have received the first dose of vaccine while 30,76,692 have received both doses of the vaccine.
