 Aradhana Diwas of Sikh Guru Gobind Singh celebrated

In latest Uttarakhand news, the ‘Aradhana Diwas’ of the last Sikh Guru Gobind Singh was celebrated with religious fervor at Sri Panchayati Akhada Nirmal in Haridwar. The head of the Nimal Akhada Mahanat Gyandev Singh who presided over the programme lauded the last Guru of the Sikh sect as one who occupies a deified place in the annals of self-abnegation and self-sacrifice for a larger cause. A large number of saints associated with several ashrams and the former State chief minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, who is also the MP from Haridwar, were present.    While addressing the gathering, the president of the All India Akhada Parishad Mahant Ravindra Puri said that an orginal thinker and deeply versed in several languages, including Sanskrit, Guru Gobind Singh personified uflinchable devotion and indomitable strength. He exhorted the younger generation to tread the path shown by the Sikh Guru in dedicating one’s life to protecting the culture of this holy land. Speaking on the occasion, ‘Nishank’ said that Guru Gobind Singh epitomised love, unity and fraternity in the society and added that the Guru always averred that the path of dharma is the path of truth and those who tread this path steadfastly must be triumphant finally.
