Cong blames Govt for Bisht’s resignation

Saturday, 21 January 2023 | PNS | DEHRADUN

Blaming the State government for resignation of Uttarakhand Space Application Centre (USAC) director MPS Bisht, the vice president of Uttarakhand Congress Dhirendra Pratap has said that Bisht was hurt by the continued neglect he had faced. He said that the government didn’t give a two-year extension to Bisht which is an insult to a noted scientist. He said that while the entire State is going through a land subsidence crisis, the government didn’t give extension to a scientist with a reputation in this field. Pratap said that chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami should immediately intervene in the issue.

Bisht resigned from USAC on Thursday and has joined his parent department as professor of geology at HNB Garhwal University at Srinagar in Pauri district.
