CMO Dehradun conducts inspection of health facilities

Acting on the directives of the Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat, the Dehradun Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma conducted inspections at the Community Health Centre in Doiwala and the Primary Health Centre in Chhidarwala on Wednesday.

During his visit, he directed that availability of doctors and other staff should be ensured at the facilities. He emphasised that patients and their attendants should not experience any inconvenience. Sharma highlighted the importance of maintaining cleanliness in the hospital premises, including the waiting areas and wards. He also called for the installation of heaters and the provision of hot water in the wards, along with clean bed sheets and blankets. Further, he stressed the need to monitor the quality of food provided to patients. 

Sharma informed that he conducted a review meeting regarding the construction of the proposed 50-bed hospital at the CHC in Doiwala, where he instructed the officials from the executing agency to commence construction work on the hospital building promptly.

 The CMO also inspected the new Type ‘A’ PHC building in Chhiddarwala. During the inspection, he identified several deficiencies within the building. He directed the officials of the implementing agency to promptly rectify these issues and expedite the transfer process to ensure that the local community can access medical services without delay.
