CM reiterates commitment to welfare on visiting Bageshwar

Arriving in Bageshwar for the first time after assuming charge as the chief minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated and unveiled the foundation stones for 42 schemes costing Rs 9424.23 lakh in  Bageshwar. These include 21 schemes costing Rs 5957.47 lakh which were inaugurated and 21 schemes costing Rs 3466.76 lakh for which the foundation stones were unveiled. 

On this occasion the CM inaugurated six ICU beds constructed at a cost of 75.33 lakh on the second floor of the Bageshwar district hospital among other development works. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Dhami said that it is a matter of happiness for the people of Bageshwar district that their long-standing demand for train service is being fulfilled with the active involvement of the Central government for the Tanakpur to Bageshwar broad gauge. The final location survey for this rail line has been approved with the required budget also being cleared for the purpose. He said, “Since assuming charge, our government has been consistently taking various decisions in the interests of the public.We are addressing various important aspects including facilitation of employment for the youths. Loans are being distributed under Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana in every district to enable self employment while the process is underway to fill 24,000 vacant posts in various departments. At the time of me completing 103 days in office, more than 320 decisions had been taken by the state government. The government is consistently working for the welfare of the general public and its doors are always open for the common citizens. Our priority is to ensure that development schemes reach even those residing in the remote rural areas of the state, making them self-reliant and connecting them to the mainstream of development,” said the chief minister.

Cabinet ministers Dhan Singh Rawat, Yatishwaranand, Almora MP Ajay Tamta and various public representatives along with officials were also present on the occasion.
