CM holds interaction with school students

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held interaction with the school students during ‘Hill Ki Baat: Yuva Samwad’ programme organised at his residence on Saturday.

 Welcoming the students, the CM told them that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is moving on the path of development at a rapid pace. He said that PM Modi has a special affinity for Uttarakhand and in last nine years of his tenure, development projects worth lakhs of Crores of rupees have been sanctioned for the State. He said that the State government is consistently working in the direction of making Uttarakhand one of the leading States of the country.

Dhami said that his government has taken commitment to make Uttarakhand a drug free State by the year 2025. He said that a strict anti copying act has been implemented in the State to ensure transparency in the process of recruitment. The CM added that strict action has been taken on those found involved in paper leak cases and so far 90 persons have been sent to Jail. He called upon the youths to work dedicatedly whatever field they have chosen for themselves and advised that they should be in the position of leader in their respective fields. In response to a question related to his vision for the State, the CM said that it is his endeavour to promote self employment in the State so that the youngsters become employment givers also. The State government is doing every possible effort to promote self employment and is encouraging start-ups, horticulture sector and tourism. The students asked many questions related to various aspects of developments of the State from the CM.

 The students also participated in a cultural programme on the occasion.

The director general of Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (USCOST) Durgesh Pant and others were present on the occasion.
