In order to increase the number of vaccinations all across the city against Covid-19, the Dehradun mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’ will approach the chief medical officer (CMO) to set up vaccination camps in all wards.
The mayor said that though camps have been set up in some wards to make the Covid vaccinations accessible for locals in remote and rural areas, some councillors and locals have requested the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) to set up camps in their respective areas too. “Vaccination camps are certainly helping people in getting jabs against Covid faster and the burden on many vaccination centres has reduced too.
I will ask the CMO to set up more such camps and I am sure that Dehradun will be 100 per cent vaccinated against Covid soon.”
