CM inaugurates cultural fests to be held till January 22

The cultural programmes to be held at all religious sites in the State till the Pran Pratishtha in the the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22 began on the occasion of Makar Sankranti on Sunday with chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurating the cultural festival at Kainchi Dham.

The CM also participated in the cleanliness drive in the Kainchi Dham and Ghodakhal temple compounds.  Paying obeisance at the shrines, Dhami also distributed Prasad to the devotees at Kainchi Dham. He also took feedback about the government’s functioning from the visitors from different States. He also interacted with the sanitation workers involved in the sanitation campaign and appreciated their work.

The CM said that January 22 will be a historic day as Ramlala will be ritually installed at the temple in Ayodhya, which is a good omen for the nation. “Lord Ram is going to be ceremoniously placed in the temple in Ayodhya after a long wait of many years. To mark this occasion, the State government is organising cultural fests and a campaign for cleaning the religious and tourism sites in the State with public participation,” he said.

Dhami further said that Kainchi Dham has become popular on the global stage with the number of devotees arriving here daily increasing steadily. The government is preparing a master plan for Kainchi Dham considering the faith of the devotees and the number of devotees who are expected to visit in the coming five decades. The devotees will get better facilities in the future with execution of the master plan. It will increase religious and spiritual tourism while also strengthening the government’s finances, the CM said.

On the occasion, the CM also laid the foundation stones for various works amounting to Rs 24.68 crore. These include improvement and asphaltisation of the roads from Sanitorium to Sirodi and Sanitorium to Naini Bend.
